Case of bribery of the General Secretary of Suez Governorate, Major-general/ Shokri Sarhan

In the case know in media as "the Great Bribery' in Suez Governorate, the famous Dr. Mohamed Hamoda, the international lawyer and owner of the greatest legal incorporation in Egypt and the Middle East, carries the responsibility of defending the General Secretary of Suez Governorate, who among three other accused defendants was accused of bribery, profiteering and violating job duties. The Public Prosecution accused him of receiving in-kind bribery for disclosing the estimated value of the land raised for public bidding session held in Suez Governorate to award it to City Home for Real Estate Investments owned by the accused. In addition to receiving financial bribery for completing procedures of approving the extension of the installment term for the advanced payment of for the land awarded to City Home Company. Public Prosecution also accused him of abusing power through interfering with experts in Faisal District in Suez Governorate to issue licenses for building eleven floors for seven plots of land owned by the other accused defendants in the scope of the district, in violation of the height restrictions. The Public Prosecution also accused him of sexual bribery in return for completing approval procedures to the submitted requests of one of the accused through benefitting from three quarries in the areas of Wadi Hjool and Om Reseis in Suez Governorate. Dr. Mohamed Hamoda could, with his legal expertise to deal with public opinion cases, obtain the biggest number of acquittals for the accused in such kind of cases, since none of his counterparts could compete with him in such arena. Indeed, Dr. Mohamed Hamoda could obtain acquittal for the the General Secretary of Suez Governorate in four accusations of bribery and a reduced sentence in one accusation. However, Dr. Mohamed Hamoda is determined to obtain full acquittal to the General Secretary of Suez Governorate through challenging the reduced sentence in cassation, which is pending scheduling a hearing for it as soon as possible.
