Wheat Silos Case
One of the cases that raised considerable debates in the public opinion is the case known in media as "Wheat Silos Case", in which many wheat silos owners were accused of committing crimes of forgery, profiteering and manipulation of public funds. The Public Prosecution accused them of manipulating millions of pounds of public funds and forging instruments and promissory notes and wheat receipt permits. Many owners of wheat silos in different governorates of the republic requested support form Dr. Mohamed Hamoda, the most daring advocate to accept public opinion cases and being in charge of defending Claimants in such cases without fear. Dr. Mohamed Hamoda could manage this folder in a wise and experienced manner and could calm down the public opinion and defend owners of those silos before the Supreme Public Funds Prosecution and the Illicit Gains Authority (IGA) in the investigations that lasted for more than two years. Dr. Mohamed Hamoda submitted many claims to the Public Prosecutor to form committees to calculate the amounts which wheat silos' owners are accused to have manipulated, which enabled Dr. Hamoda to executed reconciliation between the State and many wheat silos' owners without referring them to criminal trials and issuing penal sentences of imprisonment against them.
