Funds Misappropriation Case of Ghabbour Group of Automotive and Transport Companies (Raouf Ghabbour, owner of the group of companies and the agent of Hyundai and Mazda International)
Raouf Ghabbour is one of the largest and most famous businessmen in Egypt. Ghabour is the owner of the largest group of companies working in trade and sell cars and vehicles in Egypt. Also, he is one of the largest agents of Hyundai Korea and Mazda Japan, the world-famous trademark. Government institutions such as the Insurance and Pensions Fund, Banque Misr and National Bank of Egypt Contribute to Ghabbour Group of Companies. Ghabour’s companies has been subjected to funds misappropriation of millions of pounds by a criminal group of certain employees who forged sales auto contracts and alleged that they sold the same for agents of the company with less than the real price as well as committing tampering in the number of sold cars. So, Ghabour hired Dr. Mohamed Hamoda due to his legal expertise in corporate crimes. Thereafter, Hamoda immediately took many legal measures against the embezzlers, and filed criminal reports against them before the supreme prosecution of public funds because to claimed them with committing forgery offenses in documents of joint stock companies as well as making and granting profits to third parties and caused intentional damage to the funds of joint stock companies and misappropriate the same which is estimated at millions of pounds. Public funds prosecution still conducts its investigations in these crimes by summoning and investigating employees, investigating the perpetrators of such crimes and forming technical committees to determine the value of such funds misappropriation.
