Case of Mervat Safwat Al Nadi, the Egyptian Mother whom American Racism turned her to be an international terrorist
Name of the Egyptian citizen (Mervat Safwat) appeared on American TV channels in the very stereotypical image of the Muslim woman who knows nothing about culture, good manners and openness, to be the mere terrorist figure who let the international Interpol to include her name in the list of the most wanted. This woman lived in a state of panic, since she- upon her work conditions and being from a high-class family in Egypt- to an American young man (in origin and nationality) who persuaded her of marriage. To prove his seriousness, he declared being Muslim and they married as per rules of the Islamic Sharia in Egypt. They settled down there for a year, then the husband asked her to move to London due to his failure in his work in Egypt. She moved with him to start a journey of suffering for an Egyptian mother who discovered that her husband stopped working and she became the only breadwinner for the family after having two sons. He then asked her to move to the US so that he could work there, however, she discovered that he stole USD 350 thousand of her money. She asked for divorce, but he abused her, kicked her out of the house and took her kids. Although she filed a case before the American courts, the American Racism imposed itself over her and she was obliged to sell her property in London and threatening her of imprisonment. Merits of the ruling included obvious racist expressions against Islam and Egyptian people. When she returned to Egypt with her kids, Interpol and Congress leaderships were pursuing her to get her and the kids back. In such critical situation, the Egyptian mother had no way out other than requesting support of Dr. Mohamed Hamoda, who turned the tables, reversed the situation and stated the complete truth in front of the international public opinion. In this, he conveyed strong messages to American officials and the American Department of State that the Egyptian National is not an easy prey as long as she is being supported by Dr. Mohamed Hamoda. He could stop the American racism and the pursuit of the Interpol for her and her kids. He promptly filed claims of spousal maintenance and custody before Egyptian courts and obtained final rulings of imprisoning the American husband in Egypt and for the Egyptian mother to keep the custody of her sons, which had the greatest impact in settlement and stability of the Egyptian mother's life and putting an end to the American racism.
