Cairo and Radio Cab Cases (Capital Cab)
Dr. Mohamed Hamoda was in charge of settling the dispute of suspending the Capital Cab project. He was appointed by the major companies which the State assigned to execute the Capital Cab project back then; Cairo and Radio Cab and Instant Rentals for Car Rent- that worked in the field of transport- in their dispute against Corplease Company, which works in the field of financial leasing. That was through purchasing equipment and automotive for the Capital Cab project and leasing those cars for the companies. Both companies held financial leasing contracts with Corplease, upon which both companies received automotive and equipment stated in the conducted contracts, provided that the companies shall be obliged to pay the monthly lease amount. Whereas a disagreement occurred while executing the financial leasing contracts between both parties in interpreting provisions of the contracts governing obligations of the two companies, and Corplease filed a number of criminal and civil claims against both companies. Therefore, Cairo and Radio Cab and Instant Rentals for Car Rent promptly appointed Dr. Mohamed Hamoda to be in charge of settling this dispute, who, through his expertise in this field, could terminate all civil and criminal claims filed between both parties, settle the dispute and resolve the problem of Capital Cab project, which was current at that time.
