Sound and light case, Prism French Company, and its dispute with the Ministry of State of Antiquities and Sawiris Family

It is one of the most famous cases, which attracted the attention of Public in the recent time. It is publicly known as Sound and Light case. The Egyptian Government contracted with Prism French Co. to develop and establish Sound and Light Project for pyramids area, as it is an international company that has technical components and personnel which enable thereof to establish Sound and Light Project in a scientific and sophisticated style, and in accordance with the most recent technological means, with which the Egyptian government receives proceeds of billions of pounds. However Egyptian Government breached its contract with the international French company, as Orascom Co. of which most of its shares are owned by Sawiris family intervened therein, trying to replace the French Company in this project illegally and breaching the obligations arising out of the contract with Prism French Company, which incurred material losses estimated by millions USD. Accordingly, the French Company sought the help of Dr. Hamoda, with his wide legal experience in the field of international commercial arbitration claim and language skills he has, as he has a good command of English and French. He will immediately file arbitration before the international arbitration center in London against Sawiris family and ORASCOM Co. claiming financial indemnification for the illegal attempts thereby to undertake solely Sound and Light Project and to keep the French company away thereof, in addition to the failure to comply with the contract items. Dr. Mohamed Hamoda will file an arbitration claim against government, before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes ICSID, in Washington, Unites States of America, claiming therein-large financial indemnification not less than billions of dollars due to the breach committed by the government to the terms of the contract concluded with the French Company. As well, as attempts of the Government to assign the project to ORASCOM Co. in an illegal manner. It is expected that Mr. Mohamed Hamoda declare about the details and reasons for which these international claims are established within the next few days.
